The Paterson Exploration Project (the Project) is a large-scale, highly prospective copper exploration project located in the world-class Paterson Province of Western Australia. The 100%-owned Project spans 1,938km² along a 200km strike length on the western edge of the Paterson Orogen — a region known for hosting major copper and gold deposits such as Nifty, Maroochydore, Telfer and Winu.
The Project area is underexplored and highly prospective for several deposit styles, including sediment-hosted copper, carbonate-hosted lead-zinc-silver, and intrusive-related copper-gold systems.
Between 2020 and 2025, exploration partner IGO Limited invested approximately $24 million across the tenement package, completing over 36,000 metres of drilling, surface sampling and extensive geophysical surveys. In April 2025, IGO withdrew from the joint venture, returning full ownership of the Project to Cyprium Metals.
The extensive exploration work completed by IGO generated a high-quality dataset and identified several advanced exploration targets, including Rainbow, NB08, MB01 and NL05.
Cyprium is now undertaking a strategic review of the existing database to prioritise the most attractive targets for future drilling. The Paterson Exploration Project offers significant upside potential to complement Cyprium’s nearby Nifty Copper Complex, with the opportunity to unlock new copper discoveries in a Tier 1 mineral province.
