Louis Chait
Chief Commercial Officer
Mr Chait is a highly experienced corporate executive with more than 25 years’ experience in the global resources industry, having worked across senior business development and finance positions at Xstrata, Guildford Coal and, most recently, Glencore Copper. He brings extensive commercial experience and skills in establishing successful, highly efficient operations in multiple jurisdictions. Mr Chait is a Member of Chartered Accountants, Australia and New Zealand.
Colin Mackey
Chief Operating Officer
A mining engineer by background, Mr Mackey is a well-known mining leader with international experience. He has worked with Goldfields, BHP and Theiss, before joining Rio Tinto in 2003, where he led the construction, development and operational improvement of multiple mining operations within the company’s portfolio. His most recent role was as Managing Director of Jadar and European Operations for Rio Tinto. Colin is a member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Manu Trivedi
Chief Financial Officer – Interim
Mr Trivedi is a Chartered Accountant and a CPA with 16 years of experience in the areas of financial & business strategies, controllership, compliance, and leadership across various industries covering mining, power generation and retail, hospitality, commodities trading and education. Mr Trivedi has previously worked as Group Financial Controller for tungsten miner Masan Resources and has held other senior finance positions for mining projects in South Africa.
Milan Jerkovic
Senior Advisor
Mr Jerkovic is an experienced mining executive who has held several executive and board positions and has built a number of mines from early stage through to operating and growing companies. Mr Jerkovic is well credentialed in the Copper industry and other commodities. Mr Jerkovic has been engaged by the Board to build the technical team and deliver the execution of the development of Nifty and other assets.
David Hwang
Company Secretary
David is a corporate lawyer, company secretary and advisor to Boards and management of pre-IPO and ASX listed entities. David regularly advises emerging and listed entities across a range of compliance, legal, governance and strategic matters. David is the Managing Director of Confidant Partners, which provides ASX compliance, company secretarial and Board advisory services. Prior to this, David was a senior executive at a leading integrated technology solutions and professional services provider, where he led Australia’s largest outsourced company secretarial and legal team.
Peter van Luyt
Chief Geologist
Mr van Luyt is a geologist with 30 years’ experience in mining, development and exploration geology. He commenced his career as a mine geologist working in gold mines. Since 2004 he has been a contract and consultant geologist specialising in the development of and exploration for base metals and gold projects in Australia, Papua New Guinea and Canada.
Gavin Hammer
GM – Nifty Copper Project
Mr Hammer is a maintenance professional with over 30 years’ experience, including constructing, commissioning, optimisation, asset management of process plants and mobile fleets. Prior to joining Cyprium Metals, Mr Hammer worked with Finders Resources Ltd follow by 2 years in Western Africa in operational and project construction roles.
Bernard Etschmann
GM – Processing and Engineering
Mr Etschmann is a metallurgist with over 30 years’ experience working with multidisciplinary teams from early study phases through to detailed technical design, construction and commissioning. Bernard has gained experience in various parts of the globe including countries in Africa, Asia, Europe and Australasia.
