Throughout his career, he has participated in nine mine starts or restarts and has been involved in multiple turnarounds, recapitalisations, and mine financings. Currently, he serves as the Managing Director at Pacific Road Capital, a significant shareholder of CYM.
Gary Comb
Non-Executive Director
Mr Comb is an engineer with over 30 years’ experience in the Australian mining industry, with a strong track record in successfully commissioning and operating base metal mines. He was Chairman of Finders Resources Limited from 2013 until its takeover in 2018. Mr Comb was previously the Managing Director of Jabiru Metals Limited and the CEO of BGC Contracting Pty Ltd.
Scott Perry

Mr Perry is a seasoned leader with over 25 years in the mining sector. He brings extensive experience from his role as President & CEO of Centerra Gold Incorporated, where he elevated the company into a C$3 billion entity with operations across Canada, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkey. His prior roles include President and CEO of AuRico Gold and multiple CFO positions, highlighting his strong operating and governance expertise. Mr Perry served as a Board member and Chair of the Audit Committee of the World Gold Council from 2015-2021.
Jim Simpson
Non-Executive Director
Mr Simpson is a deeply experienced mining executive with a proven track record of operational delivery within high-growth companies. He was formerly the Managing Director of base metals developer, Peel Mining (ASX:PEX), and before that, polymetallic metals producer, Aurelia Metals (ASX:AMI). In particular, his leadership of Aurelia saw the company stabilize production, successfully acquire a second operation, repay significant debt and be recognised with inclusion in the ASX300 index. Jim’s early career focused on delivery of operations, studies and planning work across a variety of disciplines ranging from underground mining to copper leaching operations.
Amber Banfield
Non-Executive Director
Ms Banfield is a performance-oriented director with almost 30 years’ executive and Board experience across the resources, energy and infrastructure sectors. She is currently Non-Executive Chair of SRG Global (ASX:SRG) and a Non-Executive Director of Perseus Mining (ASX:PRU). Her career spans operational, management and advisory positions with several ASX-listed entities, including Worley Limited (ASX:WOR), where she supported its growth into one of the largest energy and resources engineering service providers globally. More recently, Amber has advised Australian companies on ESG, decarbonisation and broader sustainability initiatives.
